Aidan started Preschool this year and absolutly LOVES it! She goes twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-11:30am. We were a little nervous about the little princess not wanting to get up early but for school she will do about anything:)

Since adding a new family member wasn't enough to make this summer Great we decided to add a swimming pool. Although they didn't start on it until after Grayson was born we still have been able to enjoy some fun family and friend time in the pool this summer and looking forward to many FUN summers to come!

Welcome Grayson Dean William Segal

After much anticipation for our son he finally arrived on July 19th at 1:08pm. He was being a stinker and decided to flip days before his due date so I was scheduled for a c-section on the 19th. We called Grandma and Grandpa Kohn and let them know they needed to pack their bags because their newest grandson was due to make his arrival the next day:) We were scheduled for 11am so we had to be at the hospital by 8am but liek many things in life there were some delays and we didn't even go into the surgery room until 12:45pm. It went really quick and was so happy when we heard Grayson's 1st cry. He was absolutly PERFECT. He weighed in at 8lbs 9oz and 20 inches long. Aidan still holds the record in the family (including her 3 cousins Eoin Liam and Sadie) for the largest baby:) After speding 3 LONG days in the hospital we were finally able to take head home. Once we got home Aidan was such a HUGE help. She Loves being a Big Sister and couldn't be more proud. Here are some pictures from the 1st week or so of our little guys life:)

I know I know I said I would be better at updating the blog but time has just gotten away from me....Well Summer is officially over and well Fall is about over too:( We had a great summer and managed to stay pretty busy. We have been enjoying all the beautiful Fall days and hoping this unseasonal weather continues:)

We had a wedding out of town the weekend of Aidan's Birthday so Grandma Segal and Aunt Ally came to Iowa to spend the weekend with the Birthday Girl. She had such a Great Time with both of them!!!!

One good thing about it being so windy in Iowa is that we can fly a kite just about everyday:) Aidan loves to sit in Daddy's work van and pretend to drive Nick has a few days off so we decided to take Aidan to her 1st Cubs game...Since it is about a 5 hour drive and the game was at 1pm we decided we would leave the day before and spend the night outside of Chicago...we stayed in Rochelle, IL and let me tell you there is not a lot to do in Rochelle but we did manage to find an old train for Aidan to play on and we also managed to find a pretty good pizza place. We had a blast!! Enjoying Mom's blizzard Not only did she get to experience her 1st Cubs game she also got to experience her 1st Chicago cab ride She lasted about 4 innings and then was just beat so she took a little nap..I could hardly believe she fell asleep at the game. She was still tired when we got home from the trip Helping Daddy put blocks on her tricycle Grandma and Grandpa Segal got her Helping Daddy build Gradma and Grandpa Kohn's temporary Electrical for their new home

March was a super busy month...We had friends visit, went back to Bloomington and Peoria to see the Segal and Kohn family and of course Aidan got spolied for Easter. Some her favorite items were the Zhu Zhu pet from Great Grandma and Grandpa Segal, the most adorable swimming suit from Grandma and Grandpa Segal, a Dora Mermaid for the bath from Grandma and Papa Kohn, and her Diego ball from Mommy and Daddy.

It has been a very long time since the last posting so I thought I better catch everyone up. The last month has been crazy busy. As of mid July I am officially a stay at home mommy! I am so lucky and thankful to be able to stay home with Aidan! She is a full on walker now (started walking about 3 weeks after her 1st birthday) so she is all over the place. She loves to be outside and we have a ton of neighbors with kids so they are always coming over to play with Aidan (might have something to do with the bubbles and the popsicles they always get when the come over:) We have had a ton of weddings this summer and have been traveling alot. Thank goodness Aidan is still a lap child on the plane, she is a little world traveler! We are finally home for a while so Nick, Aidan and I are looking forward to spending some quality family time together. Since I will have more time on my hands I will do my best to update the blog everyweek. I have posted pictures below from the last month or so.
