Another busy weekend

Well this past weekend was a busy one for all of us. My roommate from college got married on Friday night in Chicago. The weekend started at around 5:45am on Thursday when Aidan and I hit the road for Chicago (Daddy was flying into O’Hare at 3pm to meet us). She did really well on the drive over and the 5.5 hour drive really wasn't that bad. Since the wedding was on Friday night we had the rehearsal dinner on Thursday so Grandma and Grandpa Kohn came up early so they could watch her for us (It was Grandma's b-day so Grandpa took them out to eat). Then on Friday she spent the day with Daddy and Grandma and Grandpa while I did all the fun stuff that goes along with being in a wedding (it was really nice to be pampered for the day, although I did miss her alot). She was a big hit at the wedding and looked so cute!! The weekend continued for us on Saturday. Nick and I went to the Cubs game with a bunch of friends and Grandma and Grandpa took little Miss Aidan back to Bloomington for the day and night. That was my first time away from her and I really missed her but it helped to know she was in good hands. We then got up early on Sunday and headed down to Bloomington to get her and we decided we would just stay the night and head back on Monday am since we didn't have anything going on anyway. On Monday on our way back to Des Moines we stopped and spent some time with Great-Grandma and Grandpa and had some lunch and at around 5pm on Monday our very long weekend came to an end! We have a great time with all our friends and family but we are excited to be home.

2 Months Old!!

Well Aidan had her 2 month checkup yesterday and she is growing so fast. She is up to 13lbs 14oz (95th percentile) 23 inches long (75th percentile). She is are little chubby cherub. She did have to get her shots and did pretty well (better than mom and dad) but slept most of the day and today was pretty fussy. She still managed to have plenty of smiles although you could tell she wasn't feeling well. We are truly blessed to have such a great baby!!

I wish everyone would just leave me alone, I don't feel good!
